Are you always striving and feeling like no matter how much you achieve, it's never enough? Do you find yourself comparing your family to your neighbors or friends and thinking that everyone else seems better off? Are you always thinking of others and putting your own needs last? Do you take on too much and never give yourself a chance to rest? Do you have incredibly high expectations of yourself and everyone else? If you answered yes to any of these, this workshop is for you.
Having a healthy drive for achievement is great. We all want to do our best. However, we live in a community where it sometimes seems as if everyone is a superstar. If you're trying to be the best, but everyone around you is outstanding, eventually we can start to feel empty. It's hard to develop close friendships with anyone if we are all trying to pretend to be perfect so we never let anyone else in to our personal lives.
We put so much pressure on ourselves, and our kids are under so much stress. It doesn't have to be this way! This workshop will teach you how perfectionism starts, why it's harmful and you'll take away strategies you can use right away to overcome perfectionism for a more joyful life, in 2016 and beyond.
This workshop is hosted by Laura Reagan, LCSW-C, a Clinical Social Worker and Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator. For more information, visit my website: www.laurareaganlcswc.com.
