"Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we are supposed to be and embracing who we really are." - Brené Brown

The Daring Way™ and Rising Strong™

Laura Reagan offers both methods, details on Rising Strong™ are coming soon! Read below for details on The Daring Way™.

Are you someone who is in a committed relationship and you believe your partner loves you, but at the end of the day it's not enough? You don't feel seen or heard or loved. You have lots of friends, but you don't let people know you because it feels uncomfortable. You're doing everything you feel you should be doing, and to others it looks like your life is perfect. You want to feel grateful for all of the good things in your life, but it doesn't feel like you are getting what you want, or what you need.

You feel lonely and empty at many points throughout the day. You wish for more connection in your life, but when you think about it you feel needy, selfish, entitled and you don't like those feelings. You think there must be another way but despite reading and listening to everything you can get your hands on from Elizabeth Gilbert, Tara Brach, Oprah, MindBodyGreen, Psych Central  you can't figure it out. You wonder what other people would think if they knew how you feel inside.

How You Can Work With Us Using The Daring Way™ Model

This year  we'll continue offering The Daring Way™ in our work with individuals. Shame is a primitive emotion and to build resilience to shame in therapy is to do trauma work. I (Laura) am an experienced, licensed trauma therapist who can support you through this process. It is important to work with a licensed clinician when working to heal trauma.

I’m a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator.  I also offer Clinical Supervision and Consultation for Maryland LMSWs and LCSW-Cs using the model. If you're a Maryland social worker who wants to know what it means to be vulnerable and courageous in supervision/consultation and how this can transform the connections in your professional and personal life, let's talk.

If you're ready to begin living wholeheartedly, schedule an appointment with me by phone at (443) 320-4034, by e-mail at info@bahealing.com or click on Schedule An Appointment! Our intake coordinator will assist you by phone or e-mail.

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
